How Are Industrial Cold Room Panels Produced?
In sectors like food, pharmaceuticals, and chemistry, maintaining thermal stability is a necessity. The cornerstone of this stability, industrial cold room panels, are high-performance sandwich structures that prevent external heat from leaking inside. But how are these panels made?
1. Material Selection and Forming
The process begins with selecting corrosion-resistant galvanized, polyester-painted, or stainless steel sheets. These sheets are shaped into the desired surface profile (smooth, ribbed, or trapezoidal) using high-precision roll-forming machines.
2. Cam-Lock System and Frame Preparation
One of the most important features that sets Karsey Industry panels apart is the eccentric cam-lock system. These locks, placed at the edges of the panel during production, ensure that the panels interlock with "zero gap" during assembly.
3. High-Density Polyurethane (PUR/PIR) Injection
The heart of the panel is the insulation core. Polyurethane with a density of 40-42 kg/m³ is injected between the prepared metal shells using high-pressure machinery. This density determines both the thermal insulation capacity and the structural strength of the panel.
4. Pressing and Curing Process
After injection, panels are kept under hydraulic presses at a specific temperature. During this time, the polyurethane spreads evenly across the entire surface and bonds perfectly to the metal. Once "curing" is complete, the panel achieves a monoblock structure.
5. Quality Control and Shipping
Every produced panel is tested for thickness, lock functionality, and surface smoothness. Every product leaving the Karsey Industry facilities is ready for the project with international standard certificates.
